RSS and Monaco

Today was depressing. First I went to my alcohol class and heard the Newark police talk about when they use was discretion in certain matters. Listening to police talk about stupid people is never a good way to start the day. Went to women's studies after that--and not just any class: reproductive rights. There's a way to feel optimistic. Abortion will never be legal in this country. I learned that no one knows what HIV or AIDS stand for (The Human Immunodeficiency Virus and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome, if you were wondering.) Also that no one had access to condoms in high school, and that only 2 percent of young girls know about Preven and Plan B. After that, came back to watch West Wing, which always makes me sad. It's such a great show about politics in America, and always feels uplifting until I remember who our real president is. Then I feel sad. Later on, I was going through site statistics and discovered that most of you are too lazy to actually visit the site and just harvest the RSS feed, which changed URL's recently, so update your readers. Apathy, if you ask me.

I ended by watching Jay Leno and witnessed (and Tivo-ed, video coming soon!) a boy from West Virginia inflate a balloon with his armpit. Rounded off the early morning writing this and listening to Joni Mitchell, who rarely helped anyone feel happy. good night.

Also, for those of you who didn't know, to add to the recent famous death toll, Prince Rainier of Monaco just died. He's the guy who rules a dictatorship half the size of central park and married Grace Kelly. It's a sad blow to the happy dictatorship. Also, to conclude the randomness, I wanted to include a brief summary to clarify my position on death.

bad:
death penalty, war, murder
